On February 24th, the Elite’s Peoria County Jail Re-entry program celebrated the graduation of it’s first class. Ten men spent six weeks building skills needed to find success outside of the jail walls. Their reward is a choice of a job with one of eight companies who have recently interviewed the men, or an education in a trade program at Illinois Central College.
Elite’s Peoria County Jail Re-entry program is designed to equip ex-felons with the mindset and the discipline they need to succeed in the working world. Through this program, they learn that their past does not dictate their future and everybody deserves another chance.
